This purpose of this site is to publish the weekly efforts of a small (but growing) group of beginner watercolourists who take the UK Guardian photography competition subject every Saturday and paint their interpretation of the theme for the week.
The artists exchange ideas and constructively critique each others submissions. The tone is light hearted fun.
New members are welcome. The rules are simple. The watercolour should preferably be from life or imagination but any reference material (eg picture) is acceptable in an emergency. We use the next subject in the Guardian Saturday Colour magazine (last page). One entry per week. Uploaded pictures should be a jpg of around 1-3mb. Email your first entry to David who will give you a login.

Chitchat – new page
I have set up a new category for general discussion not related to posts or comments about the site function. The comments from here have been moved to Chitchat (hence my authorship of all of them).
