One of my Christmas cards – rather late with the post. Hope Santa still managed to deliver all your presents despite the distraction of losing the competition!

Stretch of Derwentwater

Very frustrated with this! Whole scene was very misty, and I couldn’t work out how to get that misty look without it just looking dull. Plus the bird life was so difficult to draw. I had to overpaint one bird that looked more like a little auk than a moorhen! The cerulean blue I used has scanned very badly, but I can’t blame that for the result. (I’ve just realised that the topic is stretching, not stretch. Oops!)
