These are my green wellies for country walks. I have red wellies for home.

This is a Robinia Frisia pseudo acacia in my back garden. It was not supposed to grow very high but as you can see it towers over neighbouring roofs – and I have had the crown taken out two or three times.

ComfortQuality Street chocolates – ideal comfort eating. Those wonderful jewel like colours (which I have only partially caught)  plus the actual chocolate can’t fail to cheer you up

DisguisedI tend towards the black side of disguised – and this sort of scene is my reaction to the word.

ChaosTraffic chaos in the rush hour and with roadworks. I chose this image especially for Dave

ColourfulThe colourful waterfront of Willemstad on Curacao. One of the stops on my cruise earlier this year in the Caribbean. We had a little drink under the umbrellas ourselves. This took me quite a long time – a lot of drawing and detail seemed to be needed and half way through I began to regret starting.

FallYou may remember this spectacular fall – it was at Aintree last November and in all the papers. It just appealed to me.

NurturePots of basil and parsley that I am nurturing on my kitchen windowsill. They get a bit lost in the  background of the garden in real life too.

CuriosityThe Castlerigg Stone Circle is a curiosity near Keswick. This was actually painted as a postcard and sent to a friend. It is an attempt at pen and wash
