We have a visiting cat, it deigned to pose for a few minutes, but insisted on perching on the edge of everything. So that’s why the background has become the main subject and the poor cat is rather a ghost in the picture.
From a photo of Audrey Hepburn in My Fair Lady, can’t imagine wearing anything like this and looking elegant!
Greens. (Not sure about the blue shadow.)
Its front ‘legs’ (?) are too thick in my painting, but this is a pretty good disguise if you are shy and live in a tree.
This is a ’silhouette’ of St Pauls (if you squint at it), from a photo.
I started this with watercolour pencils, and not on watercolour paper, so it hasn’t worked too well. It’s from memory of our millenium party, but I haven’t done justice to the absolute mess we made.
To prove we did some painting on our holiday, this is the view from our ‘cottage’ in Cornwall. (And it was sunny!)
I tried to get a backlit feel but I think I need to darken the boy?

Snowfall. I wanted to get the lamplight shining through the snowflakes, but it’s been difficult to get the surroundings dark enough. The stripey effect is due to buckled paper, not meant!
