This little car served its owner faithfully for many years with no breakdowns, but with the ongoing increase in the number and size of sand dunes and glaciers in suburbia these days it has been abandoned to the crusher  by its twit owner for a towering four by four.

I always feel homeless people are the truly abandoned of society. It is so easy to pass them in the street and have uncharitable thoughts – surely they could get a job – without knowing the circumstances of their position, mental illness, a broken home… This homeless north african is trying to find cool place to sleep in the shade of a wall .

This is supposed to be an old abandoned Cornish Tin Mine.  I meant it to be a lot bleaker (all greys) but purple kept creeping in.  Oh well, moving on.

Poor Mr Speaker – Abandoned by his buddies – hope I have captured his look of disbelief. The picture seems to loose something in the scanning -think I have gone back to much into my pale palette.

The abandoned, derelict, overgrown and graffitied swimming baths at Twickenham. The Council have just agreed to allow luxury housing when what is needed is an open space looking out to the river.

Going nowhere

A delightful task, painting this old caravan while the sun shone down and chickens pecked at my toes. The window on the side looks wierd – it did reflect the sunlight off the wall to the side, but in the painting it stands out too much.

Abandoned as in ‘exuberant’, I wish I could say this was painted from life and if I were Dave, I would! The sky went very wrong, my masking fluid seems to pull off the surface of the paper when I try to remove it. Also the figures are rubbish, don’t magnify it!
