Sue and Dave frozen but having fun
I was falling so far behind I decided i had to do something so attempted a copy of an old photo of Sue and I as kids in the snow. Unfortunately I didn’t manage to capture our cherubic faces. My first attempt was quite good but had no detail. As soon as i tried to add any dark lines the faces were transformed into grotesque masks. Several rubbings out and repaintings later i got them to a tolerable state. I failed in other ways to capture the essence of the original which I will add in a couple of days so as not to spoil your enjoyment of my effort!

A second painting – tsk tsk.
I had to do this quickly and try to get the impression of ice, without fussing too much over detail as I usually do. I wish I’d chosen a different colour for the background and left the blue out.
Another painting from a photo. I used watercolour pencils for this. You can see the strokes of the pencil where the water wash hasn’t completely removed them.
