Tennis Club Presentation
Three times I’ve tried to paint this peacock and each time it just gets worse. I have never hated a sketch quite as much
These flowers were presented to me recently. The grey smudge round the edge is supposed to be the cellophane
I promised myself I wouldn’t under any circumstances try to paint people, but I couldn’t think of a presentation to do without. So this is a composite of some photos. It is more orange than I intended, something to do with the way I’ve transferred it on to the site.
A colour adjusted version
I thought to paint my cat presenting her tummy, as she usually does when lying on the boiler, but contrary as ever, she stayed resolutely tummy down till I finished painting. I hope I can get away with this (in the same way as Dave’s rooks no longer balanced when he painted them). If I get any better inspiration on the theme, I’ll post it. I’m looking forward to seeing how the rest of you tackle this difficult topic.
