Sorry, I’m having to stretch things a bit here, using paintings I did on holiday and shoe horning them into categories. This is a scene from the primeval forest in the far east of Poland. Much of the forest is a strict reserve which you can only enter with a guide, but in places there are paths, this on one a boardwalk over marshy ground. It was gloomy, steamy hot and full of viscious biting insects – a bit of diversity we could have done without. Painted entirely from memory – no way I was sitting around in there!
