This is a pudding I made for friends back in November. It started off as a bramble fool in a shot glass and by the evening had mutated into Bramble Eton Mess and I think Jane, Robert and I had more fun preparing it than eating it. I thought it tasted good though! Yes, a bit of a quick sketch and I wish I’d spent a bit more time on it, but there you go.

Well I am going to stick up for sue because i think it looks great. Any lack of perspective is made up by the spontaneous painting and the very graphic treatment. I am talking about the painting not the pudding which I haven’t tasted – or have I?

Yes, ditto Jane, and I think the slight wonkiness adds to its charm.

I can vouch for the fact it tasted really good as well as being fun to make. It does look slightly insubstantial but the colours are great.

clever use of colour but like your owl I think it floats a bit and perhaps needs a bit of shading at the base.

Yum yum, looks tasty. I like the quick wet in wet approach, it suits the eton mess pudding. My only comment would be that it would look more 3D if the outer edges of the elipses were rounder, not so pointy. The colours are lovely, too, very soft.
